Robotics Club

If you have a student interested in FLL Robotics, please join us in the Band Portable after the hot dog lunch on the first day of school. Both parents and students are welcome (and needed) to help us build this season's competition LEGO field set up

This hands-on program gives kids grades 4-8 an opportunity to design, build, program, and operate a real robot. as well as research a real-world problem, then develop and present a solution. The project component of Robotics focuses on real-world problems. Teams choose a specific problem within the theme to research, and then they develop and present a solution to solve it! Last year, one team created a Catch-a-Cat app to help trap & release stray cats. Another team focused on doggie doo doo polluting Puget Sound, while another focused on service dogs.

Teams meet at the school for 1½-2 hours twice a week after school and/or on the weekend through December. Teams will also participate in special events such as fundraising or field trips for their research project. A non-competing Spring Robotics program follows to allow the kids to continue to learn coding.
