Accreditation

St. Charles Borromeo Catholic School was one of the first school’s within the Archdiocese of Seattle to be accredited by both the Northwest Association of Accredited Schools and the Western Catholic Schools Association. We have been accredited for the past 18 years, and have achieved the highest level of accreditation each time we have completed the process. Very few schools achieve this level of accreditation.

Accreditation is a voluntary process involving a self-study, a team visit, and the development of a long-range school improvement plan. This long-range plan is a strategic plan incorporating the recommendations of the self-study and team visit with the purpose of improving student learning. The administration and faculty at St. Charles continually strive to improve and to address the three major goals of accreditation:

  • what are students learning
  • how are students learning
  • how do we know students are learning.
