Development Mission Statement
To grow in gratitude for God's blessings and respond by sharing our time, talent and treasure in support of St. Charles Borromeo Parish and School.
The St. Charles Borromeo Development Office (formerly called Stewardship Office) is located in the school and serves both our school and parish families. Our focus is to establish relationships with families by helping them give of their time, talent and treasure in a way that is productive and fun for them.
We steward their time and talents through vounteering in our community at events like the annual auction, Booster Club carnival or crab feed, and SCOPE activities. We steward their treasure through programs like our school Partners in Excellence Annual Fund or sponsor a students tuition or hot lunch for the year.
Our parish practices stewardship with regard to our school. The parish pledges 35% of regular parish income annually to the school budget. This amount allows the school to offer a substantial reduction in tuition to parish members. Parents are asked to make a sacrificial gift weekly to the parish and are required to have a stewardship card on file in order to qualify for in-parish tuition.
We are called to remember our many blessings and, in light of economic realities, to share in supporting the historical sacrifices pastors, religious, and parents have so willingly shown by their example.
This is vital to Catholic education now and necessary to understand, if we are to provide a legacy of future Christ-based Catholic education.
