Our Mission Statement:

“Inspired by Christ, our common vision at St. Charles is to prepare students to be responsible individuals with traditional Catholic values and a life-long love of learning.  As a ministry of St. Charles Borromeo Parish, we provide opportunities for academic and spiritual growth within a secure and supportive environment in partnership with parents, parish, and community".

Welcome to our Pre-K classroom, 'where we learn, play and pray'.

I am Marilyn Coleman and I am the Pre-Kindergarten teacher.  I have a strong devotion to the St. Charles Community, which began in 1996 when my husband and I joined the parish.  We chose St. Charles because we knew we desired a Catholic education for our children.  My husband Steve also attended St. Charles for his 6th-8th grade years, prior to attending Bellarmine.  I am also a Bellarmine graduate.  I then graduated from Washington State University with a Bachelors of Science degree in Microbiology.  I worked in Seattle for 9 years doing medical research, prior to Ben's birth.  Benjamin is our oldest son who will be attending Washington State University in the fall.  Our other son Kevin will be a freshman at Bellarmine.

When Kevin began Pre-K at St. Charles in 2007, I began to work part-time in the Development Office as an assistant.  I enjoyed the three years helping to raise funds for our school.  When the position of teacher assistant in the Pre-K classroom became available in 2010, I jumped on the chance to pursue a dream.  My love for the children and teaching has grown exponentially.  I have completed my Early Childhood Education Certificate and enjoy using that knowledge to create a welcoming environment full of exploration and growth.

I am passionate about teaching and feel God's hand leading me to do great things in  Pre-K.

Blessings, Mrs. Marilyn Coleman
