Financial Aid Application Process

Financial Aid applications for the 2010 – 2011 School Year are now available. Please read all directions carefully and submit all necessary documents. Applications not fully-completed will not be processed.

 

There are three applications you will be required to complete:

1. Archdiocese of Seattle Fulcrum Foundation application. This can be done on-line at www. Seattlearch.org. Once the application is complete bring a hard copy to the St. Charles Borromeo School office; attention: Mr. Feist. Please note the application deadline:  February 11, 2010.
   

 

2. St. Charles Information Form: Please download the pdf information sheet and return to the St. Charles Borromeo School office; attention: Mr. Feist. Please note the application deadline: February 11, 2010.

 

3. Private School Aid Service (PSAS) Form - Send the completed Student Aid Form  plus a check or money order for $21 for the processing fee directly to:

Please note  that the filing deadline on this application is February 11, 2010.

 

4. Required for both Fulcurm and PSAS applications are:  Copies of your 2008 Federal Income Tax Return (1040 Form) and copies of all 2008 W-2 and/or 1099 forms for households listed in Sections A and B of the application. If you have not filed or will not file a return, include all appropriate forms per section M of the instructions of PSAS application.

 

NO APPLICATION WILL BE PROCESSED WITHOUT THE AFOREMENTIONED INFORMATION.

 

5. Private School Aid Service (PSAS) processes all the applications through a computer analysis and makes recommendations to St. Charles Borromeo School regarding the number of awards to be granted and the number of dollars in each award.  The St. Charles Borromeo School Financial Aid Committee reviews the recommendations once they have been received from Fulcrum and PSAS and makes the final decision. Letters regarding financial aid awards will be mailed to you in mid-April. This response date is given to assist families in making tuition plans for the next school year and in making admission decisions prior to registration.
6. If you have already filed a PSAS form for Bellarmine but did not include your St. Charles student at that time, please complete the PSAS addendum and send it in to PSAS before the deadline.  This will allow PSAS to release information to St. Charles.  Please access the form here.  PSAS Addendum

 

You may apply for Financial Aid after the filing deadline of February 11, 2010; however, there is no assurance that aid will be available.

1.      You may complete the Student Aid Form PDF directly on your computer screen by clicking on the link provided and opening the document. Next, place your cursor at the appropriate field and type in the information.

2.      Once completed, you should then save the document to your computer and print a hard copy.  This option may be preferred by families who are more technologically savvy and wish to type their information rather than filling in the form by hand.

The second option is to simply open the application form, print it out, and complete it by hand.

You can select which pages you’d like to print under the “Print Range” section of your print screen. You can also preview every page under the “Preview: Composite” section of your print screen by moving the sliding bar beneath the small image of the form.

Mail Completed Forms Directly to PSAS

With either option, the completed Student Aid Form and required accompanying documents need to be sent directly to PSAS. Do not mail the completed form to St. Charles Borromeo School. Send directly to:

This form also needs to be printed into hard copy form but needs to be submitted to St. Charles Borromeo School Office by February 11, 2010.
