ST. CHARLES 2nd - 6th GRADE CHOIR PROGRAM

Beginning in 2nd grade, students in St. Charles are eligible to participate in our choir program.  The choirs meet before school and perform three main times during the school year at two weekend masses and the Spring Concert.   The rehearsals are fun and lively while at the same time building a foundation of good singing technique, appreciation for quality literature, and proper rehearsal attitude.  Arriving on time and ready to sing is a must since morning rehearsals last only 20-25 minutes.  Please try your best to have your child to rehearsal on time.

In addition, participation at all the performances is a requirement. Please check the dates for our upcoming performance dates, write them on your calendar, and if you foresee a conflict please indicate it on the registration form.

Also, if your child has a sore throat on a rehearsal day please send them anyway.  They won't sing but will follow along by listening and still learn the music.  Thank you!

CHOIR REGISTRATION FEE

In order to continue our outstanding choir program we are asking you to pay an annual choir fee of $15.00 per participant.  This fee will help to defray the increased costs of sheet music and will help pay accompanists.  The choir program, as an extracurricular activity, will continue support in funding from the school budget in addition to SCOPE.  The choir fee will only offset the increase in expenses.  Choir fee scholarships are available if financial assistance is necessary.  (Please see Mr. Feist for more information.)
